Over 20 yrs – nearly 22.

Most of the companies have been local, but some have been National or International Brands.
For what types of organisations have you recruited candidates?
Local Councils and smaller family-run businesses to companies that have expanded regionally, through to National and International Brands, supplying on a National level. Industry Sectors have been anything and everything: Tipper Drivers, Refuse and Recycling drivers and Container drivers. Companies include Royal Mail/Parcel Force, Wincanton, Aldi, CEVA logistics, DHL, National Express.
What do you think is a key skill or knowledge required to recruit for the Transport and Logistics sector successfully?
It is vital to understand the clients' needs and find the correct skillset and person fit. This works the other way for the candidate/driver, to find them the work they enjoy the most for the company that will offer the best opportunity for them.
Any other sector knowledge that you would like to share?
When working for the larger clients, the compliance levels increase significantly – over the years, I have developed methods to get this completed quickly and efficiently.
