Our client, a leader in the sourcing, refurbishment, and resale of retired IT and electronic equipment, is currently looking for a skilled and motivated IT Test Operative to join their growing team. This role is ideal for individuals with a technical background, especially those familiar with enterprise assets like Servers, Storage Arrays, Networking, and Telecom equipment. Full training is provided, but previous experience in IT testing or repair is a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Testing and processing 3-5 year-old used IT equipment
  • Inputting specifications and cosmetic details into the Database
  • Meeting production KPIs in both quality and quantity
  • Performing data erasure on a variety of IT products and ensuring proper control measures
  • Identifying and solving equipment faults, and helping to create more efficient workplace processes
  • Ensuring high housekeeping standards (clean and safe work environment)
  • Collaborating with the Warehouse Team Leader to report any operational challenges
  • Providing flexibility to support other areas of the business when needed
  • Complying with all Health & Safety regulations, including wearing required safety gear (high-vis and protective footwear)

Please note: This is a physically active role that will involve manual lifting.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems and basic data entry skills
  • Experience with Servers, Networking, and Storage Arrays is highly beneficial
  • Understanding of data removal from enterprise devices (IDRAC, etc.) is an advantage
  • General IT/computer knowledge
  • Ability to read and follow work orders
  • Familiarity with a range of data-bearing devices
  • Self-motivated and target-driven, with the ability to work independently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible, with the ability to adapt to different tasks as production demands

Working Hours:

You will work three 12-hour days per week between Monday and Saturday (06:00 am - 19:00 pm), totaling 36 hours per week with a 1-hour unpaid break each day. Shift rotations will occur every three weeks to split between Monday-Wednesday and Thursday-Saturday shifts.
