Job Description:
As a Landscape Gardener, you will play a crucial role in creating and maintaining visually stunning outdoor environments for their guests to enjoy. Your responsibilities will include:
Grounds Maintenance: Undertaking regular maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, weeding, pruning, and watering to ensure the neatness and tidiness of our grounds.
Planting and Cultivation: Planting, transplanting, and cultivating various flowers, shrubs, trees, and other vegetation according to seasonal requirements and aesthetic considerations.
Landscape Design: Collaborating with the management team and/or external designers to develop landscape designs that align with the park's overall theme and ambiance.
Hardscape Maintenance: Maintaining paths, walkways, patios, and other hardscape features to ensure safety and visual appeal.
Pest and Disease Control: Monitoring for pests and diseases and implementing appropriate control measures to protect the health and vitality of their plants.
Irrigation Management: Managing irrigation systems efficiently to ensure proper hydration of plants while conserving water resources.
Equipment Maintenance: Proper care and maintenance of gardening tools, equipment, and machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Seasonal Decorations: Assisting in the installation and removal of seasonal decorations and displays as required.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Landscape Gardener or similar role, preferably in a hospitality or recreational setting.
Strong knowledge of horticultural practices, plant care, and landscaping techniques.
Proficiency in operating and maintaining gardening tools and equipment.
Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Relevant qualifications in horticulture or landscaping are desirable but not essential.
