Job Title: Small Works Estimator

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Small Works Estimator. The ideal candidate will have experience managing projects valued up to £500,000 - £600,000. This role involves working on a variety of project types, including domestic, insurance, and commercial projects. The successful candidate will play a vital role of overseeing projects related to insurance claims and building works. The vacancy requires a proactive candidate who thrives in a reactive work environment. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate take-offs and Bills of Quantities for a range of small works projects.
• Pricing Tenders value between £50k-£500k. 
• Small Works pricing £50k & under
• Analyse and compare subcontractor quotes to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure project specifications and requirements are met.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in estimating for domestic, insurance, and commercial projects.
• Strong ability to produce take-offs and Bills of Quantities.
• Competence in rate compilation and tender pricing.
• Experience in analysing and comparing subcontractor quotes.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

• Experience of using Xactware and/or Symbility desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
• Proven experience in a reactive work environment or insurance repairs is highly desirable.
