We are currently seeking an Immediately available, part time HR Assistant for an NHS division in Colchester. The role will be 3 days a week Wednesday – Friday on a 1 year Fixed Term Contract.

Pay Rate: £10.84 per hour

Working Hours: Wednesday – Friday 9am-5pm

Contract Length: 1 year

Start Date: Immediate

JOB TITLE: HR Co-ordinator

GRADE: Band 3

ACCOUNTABLE TO: HR Services Lead

  • Dealing effectively as a first point of contact for queries from employees, managers and members of the public with regards to a range of HR Services and employment matters such as, but not limited to, Recruitment (including onboarding and induction), employee and HR related administration, Employment contracts, Terms and Conditions, Policies and Procedures and payroll issues, including dealing with ad hoc employee queries, basic triaging of employee needs, accessing and checking employee records. This is not an exhaustive list.
  • To deliver administration across a range of HR services to all business units within the comapny and as directed, and to navigate the employee, manager or member of the public accordingly, including liaising appropriately with all internal appropriate services or functions
  • Providing information orally, in writing and/or electronically including via the telephone (internal and external) to employees, managers and members of the public.
  • To provide an excellent service as point of contact across the range of HR services for the organisation
  • To attend confidential employee relations meetings, including taking confidential and accurate notes
  • To maintain stock levels of stationary
  • Updating and maintaining of databases and use of IT systems, including ESR and NHS jobs
  • Working as an effective member of the HR team to deliver the service, providing administrative support and assistance, including the production of statistics and basic reports, and the collation of confidential reports for hearings and/or formal meetings.
  • There may be a requirement to undertake other duties as reasonably required to support the organisation, which may include work at other managed locations and supporting the wider HR/OD service. To work on any other projects or other work in the department as requested
  • Any other tasks as required that are commensurate with the role
