Our client, a fast-growing and innovative manufacturing company based in Colchester, is looking for a proactive and detail-focused Contracts Manager to join their team.
In this role, you will develop a comprehensive understanding of the business, covering all aspects of planning, production, and estimating. You will take charge of managing projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will collaborate closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure that all contractual and manufacturing requirements are fulfilled, with an emphasis on maintaining efficiency and quality throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management: Manage and direct projects from start to finish, ensuring milestones are met and deadlines adhered to.
Customer Liaison: Engage with customers to fully understand and document their manufacturing requirements.
Documentation: Raise and maintain all relevant manufacturing process documentation.
Supplier Management: Work with suppliers to ensure optimal agreements and sourcing.
Project Planning: Schedule and plan project timelines and resources, ensuring smooth delivery.
Continuous Estimation: Estimate costs and manage project budgets through the entire contract lifecycle.
Collaboration: Work closely with production and planning teams to ensure product is manufactured according to specification and within timeframes.
Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all health and safety regulations are met.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Previous Experience: Essential experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
Technical Knowledge: Understanding of manufacturing processes, estimation, and fire ratings.
Building Regulations: Familiarity with technical drawings and building regulations would be advantageous.
IT Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Education: Degree level qualification or equivalent experience is desirable.
Attention to Detail: Strong ability to work methodically and with precision.
