About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Accounts Administrator to join our clients finance team. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of financial operations, supporting the team with a variety of accounting tasks. Previous experience in an accounts or finance administration role would be advantage however would consider a strong administrator with a passion for numbers and a keen eye for detail, looking to grow their career in finance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process invoices, purchase orders, and expense claims in a timely and accurate manner, using sage 50.
  • Answering incoming calls and assisting customers / suppliers
  • Processing & credit checking new business applications
  • Chasing overdue debts
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all payments are processed and recorded efficiently.
  • Reconcile bank statements and financial reports to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Maintain accurate filing systems for all financial records and documentation.
  • Support the finance team with administrative tasks, including data entry and reporting.
  • Respond to queries from suppliers, clients, and colleagues regarding payments and financial matters.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an accounts or finance administration role is preferred, but not essential
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • An understanding of Sage accounting software is an advantage.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive and problem-solving attitude.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles is an advantage.
  • A finance-related qualification is desirable but not essential.

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm.
