Manage the day to activities of the production shift.
A strong people Manager, whose primary focus is to manage the floor, ensuring staff are focused, motivated and assigned to the correct task. Optimising production and controlling the flow and sequencing of manufacturing.
The role is 80% task, 20% Management and will involve a significant physical element, moving stock and consumables around the facility.

Health & Safety
Responsible for the execution of the Health & Safety Policy ensuring all control measures are in place to create a safe working environment.
Ensuring all PPE requirements are adhered to at all times.
Systems and Administration.
To produce all necessary production entries and supporting information on the production system (Sage).
Admin tasks including holiday management, resource planning.
Ensure that Company standards are briefed to shift & continuously monitored to ensure standards are maintained at agreed levels.
·Health and Safety, Operating procedures.
·Packing lines to be clean & free from dust build up
·Taste testing management
Create and delivering training programs for both new starters and existing staff, ensuring all staff are aware of SOP’s across all aspects of production.
Lead, motivate all staff.
Communication, conducting regular meetings with staff.
Responsible for all aspects of coaching and support for Production Operatives.
Utilisation of Equipment
Ensure start up checks are completed for each machine prior to use
Record / monitor utilisation & make recommendations to increase equipment efficiency/effectiveness.
Ensuring PPM is carried and liaising on any faults found.
Where faults are found ensuring initial fault finding occurs in order to advise Production Manager of any remedial action required.
Collate & sign off their shifts paperwork, ensuring accuracy of data recorded.
Duties will also include supporting the Production Manager which will involve completing ad hoc requests as required and deputising for the Production Manager in their absence.
·Previous Management Supervisory experience in a food production environment
·Experienced and good knowledge in the areas of batch control, stock control and management
·Strong man-management training and skill with the ability to motivate and get the best from individuals
·Formal training in Health and Safety and Food Hygiene
·Good knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook, experience with Sage 200 desirable
